Patience Dzandu is a seasoned social service professional and community advocate with a
degree in Social Work from McGill University. Born in Ghana and residing in Canada for over
three decades, Patience brings a wealth of cross-cultural experience and a deep
commitment to empowerment, dignity, and community development.

MRS. REBECCA OBUOBISA-DARKO

DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION -GHANA

She is a Deputy Director  of Education with the Ga East Municipal Education Directorate. She has a Masters in Guidance and  Counselling with research in Child Trauma.
She is a licensed Counsellor and a Practictioner with the Ghana Psychology Council. 
She is an author and loves to guide the youth to discover their potential and develop them.
She is the Executive  Director of Ink it Foundation;  an organisation that seeks to help children to read, write, and develop their writing abilities. 
She has an enterprise,; Belle Afrique gh. that makes quality African Bead jewellery. 
She is passionate about  guiding children to identify their strengths at an early stage.

Patience Dzandu - Treasurer, Les Passerelles Globale-Ghana

Patience Dzandu is a seasoned social service professional and community advocate with a
degree in Social Work from McGill University. Born in Ghana and residing in Canada for over
three decades, Patience brings a wealth of cross-cultural experience and a deep
commitment to empowerment, dignity, and community development.

Currently serving as a Specialized Educator in a senior residence, she provides
compassionate, person-centered support to elderly individuals living with dementia,
physical disabilities, mental health challenges, and limited autonomy. Her practice is
grounded in empathy and built on years of experience supporting diverse
populations—ranging from youth and families to single mothers and seniors.
She has facilitated over 100 care plans for elderly clients annually, contributing to improved
quality of life and resident satisfaction. Additionally, she has successfully led empowerment
workshops for over 50 single mothers, resulting in improved employment readiness and
community engagement.
Patience’s career extends beyond direct care into community leadership. She has been
actively involved in initiatives that support single mothers and senior citizens, offering
mentorship, advocacy, and life-skills development to help individuals navigate life
transitions with resilience and confidence.
Guided by faith and anchored in her Ghanaian heritage, she remains actively engaged in her
local church and broader community, championing causes that promote inclusion,
empowerment, and social justice.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the Kwame Nkrumah
University of Science and Technology and a Master’s degree in Water Supply and
Environmental Sanitation from the KNUST-African Institute of Sanitation and Waste
Management, she possesses a strong academic foundation complemented by over a decade of
hands-on experience in various sectors of the manufacturing industry.
Her career spans the pharmaceutical, food, and water industries, showcasing her adaptability
and proficiency in diverse environments. Motivated by determination, hard work, and a
commitment to excellence, Augustina is unwavering in her pursuit of success. Outside her
professional life, she is passionate about reading and traveling, which enrich her
understanding of different cultures.

culture in Anglophone West Africa through sustainable and well-managed programs.

With extensive experience in budgeting, donor reporting, resource mobilization, and project
monitoring, Mr. Dennis plays a critical role in ensuring financial transparency and
operational efficiency. His strategic guidance helps the organization optimize resources,
align projects with development goals, and maintain compliance with regulatory and donor
requirements.
Mr. Dennis holds academic and professional qualifications in Finance and Project
Management. He has worked with several NGOs and community initiatives, earning a
reputation for integrity, accountability, and results-oriented leadership.
His expertise continues to drive Les Passerelles Globale toward financial sustainability and
impactful project delivery across the ECOWAS region.

Mr. Sammuel Tetteh is a passionate and accomplished Music and Art Director with a deep
commitment to nurturing creativity and cultural expression among youth. With a rich
background in music education, performance, and artistic leadership, he brings over a
decade of experience to his role at Les Passerelles Globale.

At Les Passerelles Globale, Mr. Tetteh leads the design and implementation of innovative
music and arts programs aimed at enhancing the creative capacities of children and young
adults in underserved communities. His work aligns with the organization’s mission to
make French language and culture accessible in Anglophone West Africa, using music and
visual arts as powerful tools for cultural exchange and language immersion.
Mr. Tetteh holds qualifications in Music Education and Arts Management and has directed
multiple community-based arts initiatives, school music programs, and intercultural
performances. His leadership style blends artistic excellence with mentorship, empowering
learners to discover their talents and express themselves confidently through song, rhythm,
and visual storytelling.
Under his direction, Les Passerelles Globale continues to integrate the arts into its
educational strategy, making learning more dynamic and inclusive while promoting cross-
cultural understanding.

Passerelles Globale as a leading voice in promoting bilingual education and cultural exchange
throughout the ECOWAS region.

As a French teacher, Bernard applies innovative teaching methodologies that promote active learning and student engagement. He is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and dedicated to continuous professional development within the field of language education.
 
Beyond his professional pursuits, Bernard is an avid reader and singer, with a personal passion for travel, which continually broadens his cultural horizons and enriches his global outlook—qualities he integrates into his teaching to inspire and empower students.

His Excellency J. Ayikoi Otoo,

His Excellency J. Ayikoi Otoo, was called to the Ghana Bar in 1981, and he is one of the most
highly regarded lawyers in Ghana. He is also a politician of repute. As a political and social
commentator, he has contributed immensely to many national discourses on television and
radio for many years.
H.E. J. Ayikoi Otoo served as Attorney-General and Minister of Justice and became a non-voting
member of Ghana’s Parliament. During the period, he successfully led Ghana’s Delegation to
international Arbitrations on a number of occasions.

He served on Constitutional bodies such as the Greater Accra Regional Lands Commission and
Statutory bodies such as the Judicial Council of Ghana and Chairman of the Legal Service Board
In 2017, H.E. J. Ayikoi Otoo moved to Canada, following his appointment as Ghana’s High
Commissioner to Canada by President Akufo Addo, where he represented his country
admirably.
H.E. J. Ayikoi Otoo is the founder of Otoo & Associates (Leo Chambers), a reputable law firm
based in Accra. He has been an active member of the Ghana Bar Association and has held the
office of Regional President and National Secretary of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) for
three consecutive terms spanning a period of three years (1998 to 2001).
As a legal practitioner, he has handled many high-profile cases some of which have been
reported in the Ghana Law Reports and Supreme Court of Ghana Law Reports.
In the corporate world, H.E. J. Ayikoi Otoo has served on a number of boards including being a
member of the Interim Management Team of Sabat Motors and Chairman of the Board of
Directors of SIC Insurance Company and also chairman of Glico Life Insurance. He is also a
Fellow of the Boardroom Institute (FBI).

Cette compétence de “bâtisseur” se double d’une compréhension profonde du développement humain, héritée de son diplôme en petite enfance, lui permettant d’aborder chaque initiative des Passerelles Global Bridges avec une vision holistique.
Ce qui le motive avant tout est de “donner” : donner accès à des opportunités, donner des outils pour l’autonomisation, donner de l’espoir et une voix à ceux qui en ont besoin, et surtout, donner un sens à la collaboration internationale.
